More About Us The Queen of Sheba Trading Company has a unique, community- based approach to bringing you high- quality, innovative "krafts" at affordable prices. No one can believe what you paid (better still, don't tell them- buy them a gift); because if you bought at a Show, on this Site, or through our Network to support AmerAkan Kraftsmanship; you bought it at a Studio- Direct price! On occassion, we also carry international krafts for globally curious people with a sharp eye for material culture. The company was established in 1998. For almost 20 years, Michelle "Akhasa" has pioneered art, businesses, and programs that confront today's reality with creative collaborations. Akhasa opened Baltimore's first downtown coffeehouse (since the 60's) featuring Spoken Word Artists in 1991; helped to start independent schools and home- school groups in Maryland and South Carolina, and fought for more local vendor inclusion at "Artscape" and other major cultural events. She continues to think that Earth Day is under- rated. As you know, all of these threads can only be woven with support, good pay, alliances, humor , intelligence, and long hours. We don't do it for the money, but we need to keep the money flowing to keep doing it. Your purchases and insights allow us to continue to serve you. We'd like to meet you at a workshop this Year!
